The course

Set within Lower Castle Park, this two lap course incorporates footpaths and fields that follow the river and Roman walls. The Colchester Harriers will be marshalling and encouraging ladies out on course as they take on steady inclines and mixed terrain.

Meeting point

The start line is within the main field in Lower Castle Park, next to the bowling green.

On the day

With a number of stalls providing activities, face painting, merchandise, along with a selection of fantastic catering that everyone will enjoy; so bring the whole family. This is a beautiful venue with a fantastic atmosphere which is steeped in history and kindly donated by Colchester Borough Council.

Parking and travel information

Please arrive at least an hour before the start of your Race for Life event to avoid queuing.

No event parking available at Castle Park - use public and town centre car parks.

This event takes place within the town centre and as such does not offer parking. There are a number of public car parks nearby, with the train station and a number of bus services just a walk away. For more information please go to the Visit Colchester website.

Please note there are new road layouts within Colchester Town Centre with enforced bus lanes.
