Take part

Show cancer who’s boss by taking on a 5k or a 10k Race for Life event. Run, walk or dance your way through the course and help us say "cancer we're coming to get you."

You and your friends can also take part by volunteering. Our events can't take place without the hundreds of people who give up their time for a few hours to set up the courses and get everyone in the Race for Life mood. Find out more and register to be a volunteer.

The course

The course takes a scenic route through Birkenhead Park. Featuring mainly footpaths as terrain, it gives some stunning views of the picturesque park.

Meeting point

The start line is on the Night Pasture, just off Park Drive. Following Park Drive from the main entrance off Ashville Road, continue past the visitor's centre. After a 5 minute walk, the Night Pasture is on your right.

On the day

Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. There will also be some extra activities and items to buy so please remember to bring some spare change.

Parking and travel information

Please arrive at least an hour before the start of your Race for Life event to avoid queuing.

No event parking

The nearest station is Birkenhead Park train station, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the venue.
