Take part

Show cancer who’s boss by taking on a 5k or a 10k Race for Life event. Run, walk or dance your way through the course and help us say "cancer we're coming to get you."

Adult entry (16+ women-only) - £14.99
Child entry (6-15 girls and boys under 13) - £10
Under 6 entry (boys and girls) - free and no registration needed

You and your friends can also take part by volunteering. Our events can't take place without the hundreds of people who give up their time for a few hours to set up the courses and get everyone in the Race for Life mood. Find out more and register to be a volunteer.

The course

The course goes around the grounds of the racecourse and Pitchcroft field and pathways. The route goes along a combination of pathway and grass and is flat, catering for all abilities. Central and picturesque, a venue with ample space and opportunity for families to spectate and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Race for Life.

Meeting point

The start line is in Pitchcroft field next to the racecourse.

On the day

Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. They can stroll around the stalls and activities such as catering, bouncy castle and facepainting on site while waiting to cheer you through the finish.

Public transport

To prevent congestion, we strongly recommend you use public transport or car share to your Race for Life event.

Parking and travel information

Please arrive at least an hour before the start of your Race for Life event to avoid queuing.

The nearest train station is Worcester Foregate Street, a 15 minute walk away.  We usually have support from a local bus company to provide park and ride to the venue - information on this will be provided here closer to the event. 
 
There are plenty of car parks near to the venue and within the city centre.
