What to bring with you
What you’ll need at your Race for Life event
On the day of your event, you need to bring a few things with you:
your back sign and running number that you received in your Race for Life pack.
comfy shoes for walking, jogging or running.
safety pins – so you can attach your running number and back sign to your top.
a bottle of water so you can stay hydrated.
sunscreen and a hat – make sure you are SunSmart and protect yourself from sunburn.
Bring your Donation Station bag, or any bag, full of your quality unwanted items.
If you haven't received or have misplaced your running number and back sign, don't worry, you can visit the enquiries tent on the day for a replacement. Just make sure you arrive earlier to allow time to do this.
Donation Station – clear out your wardrobe to support our shops
You will receive a Donation Station bag a couple of weeks before your Race for Life event. Simply fill it up and any other bags with quality unwanted clothing, accessories, homeware, books, CDs and DVDs that we can sell in our charity shops and bring them to your event. We can also recycle old mobile phones and used printer cartridges.
You can drop your bags off at the Donation Station marquee before the start. Simply look out for the pink Donation Station flags that mark the spot.
Each bag could be worth around £30 each. Your support is invaluable to Cancer Research UK shops.

These facilities will only be available when these icons appear on a venue page. Please note there are no left luggage or cloak room facilities at Race for Life events. Please leave your belongings with friends or family who are not taking part or put them in a backpack so you can take them round the course with you.
