What to bring with you
Your Race for Life event checklist
On the day of your event, you need to bring a few things with you:
Pin it. Remember to bring safety pins for your back sign and race number. Make sure you write your health and safety information on the reverse of your race number as well as a message to cancer on your backsign, to show everyone why you're taking part.
Bag up. Bring along your bag full of unwanted clothes, accessories and DVDs and drop it off at one of the donation stations at your event. We’ll send you a bag and tell you all about it a few weeks before Race for Life.
Dress the part. Think comfortable clothes and sports trainers – clothes you can really do battle in. And don’t forget to wear your Race for Life wristband – we’ve included two, one for you and one for a supporter to wear.
Bring your gang. We want to see your supporters on the sidelines with their boards (PDF, 246KB), cheering you all the way.
Drink up. Bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated.
Car share. Race for Life can get really busy, so try and car-share with friends if you can.
Travel light. There are no lockers at Race for Life, so only bring what you need.
Arrive early. Try and get here an hour before the start time, to join the gang for a warm up.
Be SunSmart. Don’t forget a hat and some sunscreen to help protect your skin.

Your welcome pack
Download your welcome pack (PDF, 952KB) and sponsorship form (PDF, 460KB) if you've not received or have misplaced them.
If you're missing your running number and back sign, you can visit the enquiries tent on the day for a replacement. Just make sure you arrive earlier to allow time to do this.
Donate it, Gift Aid it!
Your bag of donated goods could be worth more if you Gift Aid it. If you're a UK tax payer, we can claim an extra 25% from the Government’s Gift Aid Scheme at no expense to you.

These facilities will only be available when these icons appear on a venue page. Please note there are no luggage or cloak room facilities at Race for Life events. Please leave your belongings with friends or family who are not taking part or put them in a backpack so you can take them round the course with you.

Join the fight against cancer and enter Race for Life
Cancer, we’re coming to get you. Join in this year’s Race for Life and show cancer who’s boss. Come along and run, walk, dance or sponsor - together we will bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
*Lines are open Monday - Friday, 8.00am to 9.00pm, Saturday and Sunday (and bank holidays) 9.00am to 5.00pm.
