Marathon training plans

We know you can do this

A marathon may be a daunting prospect but there's no reason to feel overwhelmed - we will be here to support you every step of the way.

Training plans

Let’s be honest – you’re not going to be able to wake up on the morning of a marathon and run the 26.2 miles without getting some serious training in first.

That’s why we have for you two easy-to-follow 16-week Half Marathon training plans from RunningWithUs. Suitable for women of all ages and fitness levels, just pick your plan, print it out and follow it to get prepped for your Marathon Race for Life this September.

And to support both of these plans you'll need the Stretching guide and Fit in 5 workout to help with strength and conditioning:

Training days

To support you with your training we’ll be holding two training days in London in the lead up to the event. The training days will be led by expert trainer Nick Anderson and will include sessions on nutrition, hydration and injury prevention tips. The day will also include a training run and the chance to meet other ladies taking on the challenge this September.

Download the Race for Life app

For exclusive training content together with top fundraising tips and everything you need to know about preparing for your race, the Race for Life app is a must-have in the build-up to your event.

It’s the simplest way to find out when the training plans are launched on the website too!
