1. What is in the individual Race for Life Event Pack?
In 2013 there will be two different Race for Life Race Pack – one for adults and one for children under the age of 16.
The adult pack will include:
- A letter confirming your event information
- Fundraising poster
- Sponsorship Form
- Back sign
- Running Number
- Wristband x2 (one for you, one for one of your supporters)
The child pack will include:
- A letter confirming your event information
- Fundraising poster
- Sponsorship Form
- Back sign
- Running Number
- Wristband x2 (one for you, one for one of your supporters)
2. When will my Race for Life pack arrive?
You should receive your Race Pack at least 4 weeks prior to events. If you have ordered merchandise at the same time as you entered, you should receive this along with your Race Pack (at least 4 weeks prior to your event).
For those individuals who enter in the week before their event, we will get your Race Pack and any merchandise you may have ordered to you as soon as possible. If it doesn’t arrive in time, please don’t panic; take your reference number (URN) and surname to the Administration Marquee on the day and they will issue you with a running number and back sign.
Also, if you do not receive your pack before the event you don’t have to wait to start fundraising. You can download one of our Race for Life sponsorship forms or create an online fundraising page. However please write your URN, name and address on your sponsorship form so we can thank you for your donation.
3. What happens if I enter only a few days before my event? Will I get my pack in time?
Due to the timing of your entry, we will do our best to post your pack to you so it arrives in time for your event. If it doesn’t, please don’t worry; you can still take part. Just arrive early on the day taking note of your reference number and make your way to the Administration Marquee, and they will issue you with a running number and back sign.
Also, if you do not receive your pack before the event you don’t have to wait to start fundraising. You can simply visit our fundraising pages and download one of our sponsorship forms or create an online fundraising page. However please write your URN, name and address on your sponsorship form so we can thank you for your donation.
4. Why isn’t there a course map in the Race for Life Event Pack?
We don’t include a course map within your Race for Life Event Pack, as we want to make sure we are providing you with the most up-to-date information. Our courses have been known to change and incur amendments throughout the year, so this information would more than likely change prior to the actual race. Course maps will be available to view on the day in the Enquiries Marquee.
5. I’d like to stop receiving SMS /email /postal communications from Race for Life – what do I do?
Please contact the support centre on 0845 600 6050 and we will be able to amend your communications preferences.
6. Why is my name showing in Google's search results?
We completely understand how important anonymity can be, particularly in making a financial contribution to something. So, if you'd rather your name wasn’t on a public site, it's absolutely fine to use a nickname in the 'donation by' field when you make your donation. Otherwise you can simply enter ‘Anonymous’. You can also hide the donation amount from public view by selecting the Hide amount option.
If you're a fundraiser and you'd rather that your page did not appear in search results, just change the name in your account details to a nickname or to your initials. This will change the Page owner name on the left of your JustGiving page. To do this, you need to log in to your account and go to the Your details tab, then change the First name and Last name fields.
