The Wrexham Pretty Muddy kids route takes a scenic tour through Alyn Waters Country Park with a mix of terrain including woodland paths and grassed areas. Please do watch out for the rabbit holes! There will be various exciting obstacles on route. The event has an amazing atmosphere and great community spirit.
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end.
Obstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Due to the nature of the obstacles, this event is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you, enjoy the atmosphere - and look after your change of clothes. There will be stalls and refreshments on the day for you to all enjoy. There are no showers or changing facilities at this event, so you may wish to bring an old towel for your journey home.
