Course information

The Carlisle route starts and finishes in Bitts Park overlooking the magnificent Carlisle castle, and takes in a lap of the Sheepmount Sports Fields. The terrain is a mix of grass, road and pathways and is predominantly flat. Dogs are welcome at this event.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

Car parking is available at the following car parks: Devonshire Walk, The Sands, Swifts Bank, Lower Viaduct, Civic Centre and Lowther Street. Please note Pay & Display machines will be in use, therefore please allow enough time to purchase these tickets.

No parking is permitted along Dacre Road and Mayors Drive.

Disabled car parking will be available at Devonshire Walk.

This route is accessible to wheelchair users, but due to the large majority of the course being on grass assistance is required. Due to the largely grass route, if the weather is bad, a large section of the course will be inaccessible to wheelchair users and significantly reduce the distance.
