The Blackheath 10K course is a double lap which is mainly on grass and winds up and down the heath. The course crosses some roads around the heath, but these roads have been closed for your safety. The Blackheath course is relatively flat throughout.
The event area is situated on the heath between Prince of Wales Road and Prince Charles Road.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we will be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as or when needed.
There is no parking available at the Blackheath Race for Life and all cars parked illegally will be ticketed.
The nearest station is Blackheath, which is a 10 minute walk away. This station is accessible.
The majority of the course is on short cut grass on the common with a few road crossings, and is mainly flat. Whilst there are a lot of drop kerbs on the route, there may be one crossing without one. Please note that in the case of bad weather, the grass may become boggy. This course is wheelchair accessible with assistance. There will be an accessible toilet onsite.
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. Please refer to the section ‘ how we are keeping you safe’ https://raceforlife.cancerresearchuk.org/your-safety for further updates.
