The Peterborough route around Ferry Meadows sets off on a fabulous journey around the beautiful lakes, through open meadows and runs past the water sports centre. Mostly flat, tarmac and tree-lined it is a delightful way to spend a summer's morning.
The meeting point is in the open meadow just by the coach car park - bring friends and family too. Please arrive an hour before the start time to enjoy our pre-race entertainment.
Ferry Meadows is signed on the Oundle Road (A605). There’s chargeable parking in the meadows right next to the start, but please do try to car pool with friends to help us reduce traffic disruption. Alternatively, bus stops are on the Oundle Road and Ferry View – both within walking distance.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION. Participant parking costs £2. Please keep hold of the QR code you receive from stewards when entering the car park and use this QR code to pay for parking after the event and before returning to your car. You'll then have a 20 minute grace period to exit from the car park and out the barriers. If you don’t exit out of the barriers after the 20 minute period of payment you will have to pay again.
If you wish to stay in the park after the event please move your car off the Race for Life car parking field by 14:00 and into one the park’s official hardstanding or overflow car parks. If you do not move your car by this time your vehicle will be locked in with no option to exit/leave.
Due to some of the course being on grass and along the river bank, this event is only suitable for wheelchairs users with assistance.
Bring your friends and family along for support, they can stroll around stalls providing activities, face painting and a selection of catering units. Spectators and participants are welcome to stay at the park throughout the day and continue to enjoy what Ferry Meadows has to offer.
