Sheffield Pretty Muddy Kids 2019
Sheffield Pretty Muddy Kids
Saturday 15 Jun 2019
£10.00 Children | £0.00 Supervising Adult
Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
The meeting point and start line is in the main event field between the animal farm and Rose Garden Cafe.
Event parking will be available at the Graves Park so please follow the specific signs that will be in place to guide you to the car park. Parking will be within the field by the sports Pavilion just off Hemsworth Road/Derbyshire Lane. Please note the venue and surrounding roads may get busy on the day so please consider car sharing where possible.
Disabled spectators and participants are encouraged to park in the Animal Farm Car Park which is located next to the event site.
Graves Park is also accessible via public transport. Several buses run along Hemsworth Road (closest to the event site), Chesterfield Road (A61) and Norton Lane, all of which have access into the park.
The Sheffield Pretty Muddy Kids event is a single lap route 5km in the lovely grounds and woodland of Graves Park. The route is hilly in places, and is on a mixture of grass, paths and woodland tracks, with lots of great obstacles!
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end.
Obstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the event with obstacles and mud involved
Do not forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. The course is open to spectators with opportunities to watch you in action and wait and cheer you through the finish line. The park is also open to the general public so you can enjoy the facilities within the park and animal farm. There may also be some extra activities and items to buy so please remember to bring some spare change.
