Course information

The Hampstead route takes place on Hampstead Heath and is a circular, single lapped course, starting and finishing on East Heath. The route takes place on tarmac but also runs through the woodland area with a few steep hills in places.

Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Meeting point

The meeting point for the start and finish of the event is at East Heath Car Park, just off East Heath Road. The main entrance is at the junction of Downshire Hill and East Heath Road. Please be aware that the Heath is a very large area with multiple entrance points. It can take over 30-40 mins to get from one end of the Heath to another, so please arrive at the correct entrance on East Heath Road. The closest postcode is NW3 1TH which should take you closest to the event site.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

There is no parking available at this event. The closest station to this event is Hampstead Heath Rail on the London Overground. The event site on East Heath Road is around a 5-7 minute walk from the station.

There is also Hampstead Underground Station in Hampstead Village. The event site on East Heath Road is around a 15-20 minute walk from this station.

Due to the nature of the course and terrain with some steep hills and wooded sections, unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
