Manchester Pretty Muddy Kids
Saturday 13 Jul 2019
£10.00 Children | £0.00 Supervising Adult
Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
The start line is in the centre of the park, between the tram museum and boating lake.
Manchester City Council are now operating a Pay & Display system in all car parks so please ensure you arrive within plenty of time to purchase a ticket. Card payment and Pay by Phone options also available.
We ask that you car share where possible due to the large number of visitors to the park.
The nearest metro station is Heaton Park. Trams run regularly from the City Centre and other destinations.
There is a gate into the park directly opposite the station. There are also several bus routes which stop at Heaton Park.
The Manchester Pretty Muddy Kids 5k course takes a scenic, with a couple of hills, route through Heaton Park. The course uses a combination of footpaths and fields and features many fun obstacles, whilst giving some stunning views of the picturesque park.
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end.
Obstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Due to the nature of the event it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you, enjoy the atmosphere - and look after your change of clothes. There will be stalls and refreshments on the day for you to all enjoy. There are no showers or changing facilities at this event, so you may wish to bring an old towel for your journey home.
