Course information

The Sunderland route is a single lap course set in the grounds of this former colliery that starts and finishes on the field adjacent to the children’s play area. The route explores the park, taking in the lake, local wildlife and providing beautiful views of Penshaw Monument and across the North East. The course is mainly on footpaths with a couple of hills along the way. The main event site is on grass so may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather. There are a mixture of obstacles along the way including inflatables, climbing, crawling and mud!

All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.

There will not be any water refill stations along the course so if you require water during the event, please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up. You will be able to refill this at the refill station when you finish.
