Course information

The Edinburgh Holyrood course is set in the scenic grounds of the Royal Park in the centre of Edinburgh. The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k, starting and finishing on the field adjacent to Holyrood Palace and runs around Arthur's Seat, taking in the beautiful views across Edinburgh. This event is mainly on roads and has a large incline which is passed twice.

Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff is of paramount importance so for 2021 we are unable to:

Have spectators attend the event with you

Offer catering facilities onsite

The start and finish lines are situated on the main playing fields of Holyrood Park.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll  be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

There are a number of buses that service Holyrood Park, only a short walk from the start line. Visit travelinescotland.com for help with planning your journey.

There are no car parks near the event area. Please use city centre car parks and allow plenty of time.

The course is wheelchair accessible however there is a steep incline on the route that may require some assistance.
