Course information

The Hopetoun House course takes you through the estate surrounding the stately home, passing through wooded areas and immaculate gardens – you may even see the resident deer and red squirrels. The route is relatively flat and runs mostly on gravel and forestry paths. To finish the route, you will again take in views of the Queensferry Crossing over the Firth of Forth towards Scotland’s capital city.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

Event parking is available within the grounds of Hopetoun House. Please take direction from signage and stewards. However, to look after our environment, we encourage you to car share where possible. There are no public transport links to Hopetoun House, but taxis can drop off at the main entrance to the estate.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course.

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
