Course information

The Salisbury 10k route starts and finishes on Hudson's Field on the edge of Salisbury and runs along the road towards Little Durnford before taking a track up to the top of the hill. It is an undulating challenging course from here back towards the finish. There is one slightly narrow section when you approach Old Sarum, however the views along the whole route are superb.

Meeting point

The start line is in Hudson's Field. On arrival, stewards will direct you into the car park and then you will be directed to the main event area.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

Car parking is available at Hudson's Field, access via Castle Road. Please do not park in surrounding cul-de-sacs.

The nearest train station is Salisbury, which is about a 30 minute walk from the venue. Alternatively, walk into the city centre and catch the X5 bus along  and depart on Castle Road.

Parking

This course is on a mixture of tarmac roads, country lanes and grass. The turning from Beech Road towards Field Barn Cottages is steep and follows a stoney track which then turns onto a public footpath across fields and through woodland.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
