Course information

This is a beautiful course that follows the paths of Lee Valley Country Park. You’ll run alongside the River Lea and the canal, as well as the lakes and nature reserves that make up this picturesque country park. Whilst you will mostly run along paths, there is also a section of cross-country terrain. There will be a water station at around 5.5km and at the finish line. Please bring your own bottle if you feel you will need more than this.

Meeting point

The start line is located in the Showground area of the River Lee Country Park to the east of Lee Valley White Water Centre, just off the A121 Station Road.

If you are driving to the venue, please put postcode EN9 1AA into your SatNav and follow signage onto the event site.  Do not use the entrance to the Lee Valley White Water Centre (our entrance gate is slightly further along Station Road).  Please car share where possible.

Within walking distance of the event site, the nearest train stations are: Theobalds Grove (20 minutes), Waltham Cross (15 minutes) and Cheshunt (20 minutes).

Parking

The course is mainly on paths but there is also a section of cross-country terrain; in the event of wet weather, this would be tricky for wheelchair users.  Please note that there is one fairly steep bridge on the 10k course.  It is smooth tarmac, but it will require assistance due to the gradient.  To avoid congestion at a narrow part of the course, there may an alternative, but slightly shorter route, for wheelchair users.

Supporter / spectator access

Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you – there is a great atmosphere on the day! They can stroll around the stalls for face painting, refreshments and other family-friendly activities.
