The Swindon route meanders around Lydiard Park, taking in views of the house and lake. The course is primarily on pathways with sections on mowed grass. The route has a section through the woods which includes a short sharp incline.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The start line is in the field next to the play area.
Please note there will be no parking charges for participants and spectators parking on the official event car park throughout the event. Normal parking charges will apply to the rest of Lydiard Park, so please ensure you follow the temporary event signage to ensure you do not have to pay.
To access this event parking, please follow signs for Lydiard Park (via Hook Street), not signs for Lydiard House. Parking is not permitted on or via Hay Lane by Lydiard House. Please car share where possible to avoid queues.

This course is mainly on the paths within Lydiard Park apart from two sections on grass. These sections are in front of Lydiard House and in the main event field, at the start and end of the course. The course is wheelchair accessible but with assistance, as these sections can be bumpy in places and can become boggy in poor weather conditions.
The start/finish area is also on grass and is approximately 75m from the main Lydiard Park car park, where there is blue badge parking.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
