Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
The start line is in the field next to the play area. Please listen to the commentator for instructions for starting your wave.
UPDATED INFORMATION ON CAR PARKING CHARGES: Please note there will be no parking charges for participants and spectators parking on the official event car park up until 2pm. Normal parking charges will apply to the rest of Lydiard Park, so please ensure you follow the signage to ensure you do not have to pay.
To park follow signs for Lydiard Park NOT Lydiard House, via Hook Street. Follow signs and stewards directions. Parking is not permitted on or via Hay Lane by Lydiard House. Please car share where possible to avoid queues.

The Pretty Muddy Swindon route meanders around Lydiard Park, taking in views of the house and lake. The course is primarily on pathways with two short sections on mowed grass. It is generally flat with a short incline towards the end. This Pretty Muddy event has our fun obstacles throughout the route to do together. There are lots of opportunities for supporters to watch the fun at each obstacle and the whole event has a fantastic atmosphere.
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end.

Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. They can stroll around the stalls including tasty food and drinks, be inspired by the amazing atmosphere of the event, and then cheer you on as you take on this event. Then afterwards you can stay, perhaps have a picnic in the park, and reflect on your achievement and reason for taking part.
