The route starts on the rugby field of Newbridge Fields, behind Halo Leisure. The route runs over the bridge of the Ogmore River throughout the cricket field and neighbouring countryside fields before returning back to the finish line located adjacent to the start line.
The start line is on the rugby pitch in Newbridge Fields. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
Please utilise public transport where you can. There is no specific event parking but there may be limited spaces available in the recreation centre. Alternatively please use town centre car parks.
The bus station is a 10 min walk from the venue and buses run at various times on a Sunday morning; please go to FirstGroup.com for timetables. The train station is also a 15 min walk away
This course is predominently on grass with a steep incline at the beginning and end of the course for the bridge over the River Ogmore. This course is wheelchair accessible with assistance but can become boggy and uneven in poor weather conditions.
