This double-lap course is mostly on grass, and flat throughout. You will run parallel to the racecourse on the jump track - but as this track is used by horses, please be aware that the ground may be uneven.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The start and finish area is in front of the Grandstand - please park in car park 4 and enter through the Racecourse building.
There is free parking available at the Racecourse. Please follow signage to Car Park 4 where you will be directed by stewards.
The bridge over the railway line allows access to the Main Racecourse Reception and Car Parks 4. Please note that there is no through access to or from Car Park 1 or Stroud Green.
The nearest train station is Newbury Racecourse, and this is within walking distance from the site. The Racecourse is also on a bus route.
The course is wheelchair accessible with assistance. There is a 1km section in the middle of the course which is on grass that is uneven and could become boggy in the event of heavy rain, however the first section is on a hardstanding pathway, and the last section also follows a path. There are a couple of areas towards the end of the route that feature gravel. The start/finish area is on hardstanding and there will be spaces near to the event site that are reserved for blue badge holders.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
