Course information

The Scunthorpe route starts in front of the lovely Normanby Hall, taking an out and back route past the deer park and into the woodland. The course is mostly flat, although it does include a slightly uneven grass section, and is a mixture of paths, grass and woodland tracks. It is a lovely scenic route through the fields and woods of this beautiful venue.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll  be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

The meeting point and start line is in front of Normanby Hall.

Parking is available at the venue so please follow signs for Normanby Hall. Please note the venue and surrounding roads may get busy on the day.  Please consider car sharing where possible and arriving early allowing plenty of time to get parked up before the warm up activity begins.  Buses also run to Normanby village which is just a short walk to the venue.

Parking

This course would not be recommended for wheelchair or pushchair users as a proportion of the route is over quite bumpy, uneven grass areas. If any wheelchair users do still want to take part then assistance would be required and we would recommend avoiding the grass field section at the bottom end of the park.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course! Note this line has been tweaked from what is already in there so you need to replace the whole section

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
