Oxford Pretty Muddy Kids
Saturday 14 Sep 2019
£10.00 Children | £0.00 Supervising Adult
Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
The start is in South Park at the bottom of the park's hill.
Advice is given to plan your journey and parking as there is no designated parking inside South Park. There are various local buses, including Park and Ride and nearby public car parks. Locations of these car parks can be found at www.oxford.gov.uk/carparks
Park and Ride - You can use the Park and Ride 400 services from Thornhill and Seacourt to get to the South Park venue using the bus stops on Headington Road. The Oxford Bus Company who provide this service is kindly operating at an increased frequency on the event day. Find out more about the services, times and location please visit: https://parkandride.oxfordbus.co.uk/pretty-muddy/
The course meanders around the beautiful grounds of South Park's 50 acres with magnificent views overlooking Oxford. The route is mostly grass with some gentle slopes and the muddy obstacles throughout to tackle together. There are lots of opportunities for supporters to watch at each obstacle and the whole event has a fantastic atmosphere.
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end.
Obstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
This event is not deemed suitable for wheelchair users.
Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. They can stroll around the stalls including tasty food and drinks, be inspired by the amazing atmosphere of the event, and then cheer you on as you take on this event.
