Course information

The Durham course starts in St Leonard’s Playing fields before passing by County Hall. The route then loops around Aykley Heads Woods where you will see stunning views of the city.

Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.

Meeting point

The start and finish lines are situated on St Leonards Playing fields next to the County Hall car park, stewards and signage will direct you.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll  be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

There is parking available at County Hall however we encourage you to car share or take public transport where possible. Durham train station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the start line and there are a number of bus services that stop at County Hall. The Traveline North East website can help you plan your journey.

Unfortunately this event is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to steep hills and the course utilising muddy and grass paths.
