Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Meeting point

The start line is located within the grounds just beyond the main building. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

Car parking is available within Stithians grounds a short walk from the start/finish area. We ask that you please car share where possible to reduce congestion, and follow signs and stewards on the day.

Course information

The Cornwall Pretty Muddy route takes a scenic single-lap through Stithians Showground. This is a fairly flat course on grass and paths, with a variety of fun obstacles to challenge you along the way! . Don't forget to bring your friends and family along to support you as there are plenty of opportunities around the course to cheer you on.

All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. Obstacle layout will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.

Whilst this course is not accessible for wheelchair users given the nature of the obstacles, the event site is accessible. There are a limited number of blue badge holder spaces  available in the event car park.  The main event site is on grass, but there is an area of hardstanding right next to it. and a variety of tarmac pathways to allow spectators to watch participants as they make their way around the course.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
