The Aberystwyth route makes its way along the promenade from end to end. An enjoyable flat route on paved ground, it really captures the beauty of the Aberystwyth coastline. In such close proximity to the town centre, this route has many spectator cheering points and is a great day out for all involved.
The start line is near the bandstand on the promenade. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The following roads will be closed as part of the event: Victoria Terrace, Marine Terrace, Riverside Terrace and New Promenade, King Street, Terrace Road and South Marine Terrace. Please bear this in mind when planning your route and parking.
There is no official parking, so please park in town centre car parks and walk to the start.
Car sharing or public transport is advisable. The start is just a short walk from the town centre car parks & stations.
The event site and route is hard standing. This route is also flat, so easily accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
