Course information

The Pretty Muddy Bristol route is a fairly flat course with mixed terrain that mostly follows the perimeter of The Downs, taking in amazing views of the Gorge and Suspension Bridge. This event has some extra challenges thrown in with some fun obstacles to do together. There are lots of opportunities for supporters to watch the fun at each obstacle and the whole event has a fantastic atmosphere.

Meeting point

The start line is on The Downs just off Stoke Road behind the Water Tower.

Parking on the grass around the Downs is not permitted. If you arrive early you may find spaces on the surrounding roads but be aware that road closures are in place on Stoke Road and Ladies Mile for the event. Stewards will be there on the day to direct you. There is limited disabled parking on Stoke Road.

Please utilise public transport:

Clifton train station is a 10 minute walk from the venue which links to the main train station Temple Meads.

Buses run up to The Downs from the town centre on Saturdays. Please go to firstgroup.com for timetables.

Supporter / spectator access

Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. They can stroll around the stalls and activities, have a go on the bouncy castle and enjoy the refreshments on offer, while listening to Heart as they wait to cheer you through the finish. Afterwards you can stay, perhaps have a picnic in the park and reflect on your achievement and reason for taking part.
