Course information

The Peterborough 10k route is a single lap 10k on flat terrain, mainly on paths with some grass. It follows the first 4.5k of the 5k route, and then branches off for an additional 5k loop before joining back for the last 0.5k of the 5k route and finishing with everyone else. There is plenty of room for walkers and runners.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day.  Additional start times may become available as and when needed.

The meeting point is inside the showground part of the arena complex, straight ahead and slightly to the right once through the gates. You will see the main event area with the marquees, flags and staging.

There is ample free car parking at the East of England Arena.  Please follow the usual signage to the venue and stewards will direct you to the Race for Life parking area which is on hardstanding.

Parking

The majority of the route is on the pathways around the showground with some areas leading off onto grass.  The whole course is on flat ground with no steep inclines.  The additional 5k loop takes place mainly on grass which has a few uneven areas. In very wet weather the grassed areas might become soft and more tricky, but in normal weather conditions we feel that this course is wheelchair accessible.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19.  We will update on this nearer the time.
