Course information

The 5k course is a flat single lap using both the Knavesmire and the perimeter track of the racecourse. The terrain is a mixture of grass and tarmac pathways.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll  be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

The start line is on the Knavesmire close to the racecourse track

Please car share where possible, parking is available at the Knavesmire. Please allow extra time to access the parking areas as there is a short walk to the main event site on the Knavesmire and the surrounding roads can get very busy. Please follow Event Parking and avoid parking in residential areas.

This course is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance and pushchairs. The course is almost all flat with a mixture of grass and tarmac path.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course! 

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
