Wakefield Pretty Muddy Kids
Saturday 25 Sep 2021
£0.00 Supervising Adult | £10.00 Children
Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The start line is on the field that runs parallel to Lawefield Lane. If using the Horbury Road entrance then it is the first field on the left after the car park and child’s play area.
There is no designated car parking available for this event; please use nearby local car parks or public transport. More details can be found at https://www.wymetro.com/plan-a-journey/
Please car share where possible and allow extra time for your journey, as the roads around the venue can become congested. Please also factor in time to walk from nearby car parks to the main event site before your event start time.
Disabled parking is available on site near the Athletics Stadium, please show your blue badge to the steward at the entrance for access.
The Wakefield Pretty Muddy route takes a scenic single-lap through Thornes Park. The route is undulating in parts and the terrain is a mix of roads, woodland footpaths and grass. This is a great course for pretty muddy!
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the event
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
