The Doncaster route starts just in front of Town Field Primary School and takes a full lap around the perimeter of Town Fields. The course is all on grass and is mostly flat, with the occasional slight incline and has a brilliant atmosphere.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The meeting point and start line is within the park of Town Fields, just in front of Town Field Primary School.
There is no event parking available at the venue, but there is limited roadside parking available on Town Moor Avenue and Bennetthorpe. If you plan on driving please car share where possible and allow plenty of time to get parked up before the stage activity begins.
Disabled access and drop off point would be recommended at the lay-by on Thorne Road.
The nearest train station is Doncaster Rail Station and there are a number of buses that run along Thorne Road, Town Moor Avenue and Bennetthorpe - all of which are accessible to Town Fields.
This course is all on grass and mostly flat with the occasional slight incline, so we would advise that it would be wheelchair accessible with assistance. However, the grass may become boggy in poor weather conditions, so an alternative 2.5k double lap on the paths may be taken on the day if the grounds are unsuitable.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
