Course information

The Stirling route is situated in the grounds of The University of Stirling. You will enjoy a mixture terrain including grass, pathways and a small hill towards the golf course. You will pass by the amazing Airthey Loch, taking in the view of the Wallace Monument, before heading towards the athletics track to finish.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

Parking is available within the campus car parks. Please follow the signs and directions from the stewards on the day. If travelling by public transport, Stirling train station is about a 40 minute walk away, or Bridge of Allan train station is around a 25 minute walk away. The number 62 bus runs hourly and will take you through the university grounds.

Parking

Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to a large section of the course utilising the golf course grass. The course can be adapted by continuing on the path around the loch and not turning onto the golf course. Do note that this will reduce the route to just over 3.5K / 7K. Please approach the blue admin tent on event day to discuss this adjustment further.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course.

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
