The Walsall 3k course starts along the paths through the Victorian part of the Park, passing the new play area. The course then heads to the fields at the back of the venue, before heading back to the finish. The course is mainly flat on tarmac paths but some sections toward the end are on grass. It’s a great course for all abilities and it has a lovely atmosphere.
The start line is within the main field of the Arboretum.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
Event parking is available within the Aboretum. Please use the main entrance off Broadway North. There will be a drop off point within the car parking area. If you require disabled parking please follow the signs, disabled parking is next to the event site. The event site is on grass, however a path leads down to this that can be utilised in wet weather.
The majority of this course takes place on well maintained paths, however approximately 0.5km is over grass. Participants may avoid this by taking a shortcut which will eliminate approximately 1km.
