Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. And raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

The Welwyn and Hatfield Pretty Muddy route is set within the boundaries of the beautiful Stanborough Park and includes a number of up and downhill grassy slopes and three shallow river crossings - prepare to get wet and muddy!!
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as and when needed.
The start line is on the south side of the park, behind the boating lake reception.
Limited parking will be available at Stanborough Park. Please be aware that parking fees apply here and cameras will be in operation. Follow the instructions on the payment machines as to how to activate the Race for Life discounted parking rate.
Due to the nature of the obstacles, this event is not suitable for wheelchair users. Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line.They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
