Preston Pretty Muddy Kids
Saturday 28 Aug 2021
£10.00 Children | £0.00 Supervising Adult
Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
The meeting point and start line can be found in the centre of Moor Park. The finish line will also be within a similar vicinity.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
There is no designated event parking available at the venue.
The nearest Pay & Display car park is located on Brookfield Street, off Moor Lane (Turn Left at Evans Cycle/Pure Gym) and there is a charge of £2.50 for up to 12 hours. This is a 5-10 walk from Moor Park if you enter on foot via Garstang Road/Moor Park Avenue.
There is a football match scheduled for this date, so parking at Preston North End Football Club will be unavailable and it will be busy in the local area.
Please park in a pay and display car park, or on the roads around Moor Park. Please be mindful of residents when parking on the road.
The car park within Moor Park will be closed to participants with the exception of Blue Badge Holders.
The Preston 5k course is a single lap route mostly on flat grass with the occasional slight incline. The route starts and finishes in the middle of the field. Due to the course being on grass, it may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions.
There are a mixture of obstacles along the way including inflatables, climbing, crawling and mud!
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles for health and safety purposes.
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!
Due to the nature of the obstacles this event is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. However we do have standard 3K, 5K and 10K event available at the same venue which are suitable for wheelchair users. These events take place the day after on Sunday 29th August 2021.
