Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
The meeting point is in front of Cofton Park’s small car parking area.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
Event Parking is available within Cofton Park. There is a regular bus service No 47 that drops off and picks up around the venue from Birmingham City Centre.
The main car parking and event site is all on grass and poor weather may affect the suitablity for disabled access.
Clean Air Zone timing and charges.
On 1 June 2021 Birmingham launched its Clean Air Zone. It will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The charges will be applied daily, effective from 14 June 2021. A non-compliant vehicle driving in the Zone will pay once for the day, then may drive in the area without limit on that day.
You can find out if you will be charged by inputting your vehicle registration details into the Government vehicle checker.
Full details and how to pay is available at www.brumbreathes.co.uk
Please check your journey to the event to see if it falls within the Clean Air Zone.
The Birmingham Pretty Muddy Kids course is a circular route around the lovely open spaces of Cofton Park. There are some flat areas but the course is hilly in parts.
Obstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Due to the nature of the event it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19.
