Distance: 5k
The 5k route will take you along the Esplanade, taking in the scenic views of Aberdeen Beach and the North Sea. The majority of the course is on road so the terrain is predominantly flat, with the exception of the start and finish areas which are located on grass.
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff is of paramount importance so for 2021 we are unable to:

The start and finish lines are situated on the grass field beside the Linx Ice Arena.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
There are a number of buses that service the Beach Ballroom and Pittodrie Stadium, both of which are approximately 5 minute walks from the start line. Visit travelinescotland.com for help with planning your journey.
Parking will be available at Pittodrie Stadium, less than 5 minutes from the main event area. Follow directions from stewards and signage on the day.
This event is suitable for wheelchair users throughout the majority of the course, however assistance will be required on the grass of the main event site and the slight incline / decline at the start and end of the course.
