The Scunthorpe 5k course is a single 5K route mostly on grass. Some parts of the route involve going onto grass and woodland path that could be considered as rough terrain. Some sections involve uneven surfaces and narrow paths. The route starts and finishes in front of Normanby Hall and takes participants around various paths, woodlands and fields. Due to some of the course/start/finish being on grass, it may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions.
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
The meeting point and start line can be found in front of Normanby Hall at Normanby Country Park. The finish line will also be within a similar vicinity.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The postcode for the venue is Normanby Hall Country Park, DN15 9HU.
We are pleased to offer free event parking at the venue.
Disabled parking is available at the venue and wheelchair users can access the event site from the car park easily.
If you are travelling by public transport the nearest bus stop is Normanby Hall Park (B), Ormesby Road, which is a 3 min walk away. Please check the latest travel information ahead of your journey any consider how you will get home from the venue on a weekday evening.
Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the majority of the course being on grass or uneven woodland path with some inclines. Should wheelchair users wish to take part we could suggest a shorter 2K route which could be completed with assistance.
Our event can accomodate dogs, but please be mindful of others whilst on the course and maintain a short lease at all times.
