The Bath Race for Life 10k route starts on Royal Victoria Park. It follows Royal Avenue all the way down to Queens Parade Place where participants will turn around and head back along Royal Avenue. The route goes onto the grass area on Royal Crescent and down Cow Lane, before following Royal Avenue back to the finish line.
The 10k course is two laps of the 5k route.
The terrain is varied but mostly on paved paths with some grass areas and a few hilly sections.
The start line is on Royal Victoria Park in the middle of Royal Avenue.
If using what3words, enter ///asleep.ages.modern in the free app, to find the exact starting point.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as and when needed.
Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your start time.
We advise using local city centre parks or Bath Park & Ride services for the event.
Park & Ride
Find out more details on all the Bath Park & Ride services at http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/parking-and-travel/park-and-ride
Road closures and car parking suspension will be in place for the event. Car parking will be suspended on Royal Avenue from 7pm on Saturday and all day Sunday so it will be clear and safe for the event route. Marlborough Road and Royal Avenue will also be closed to traffic during the event. Please see advance warning signs around the park and diversions on the day.
The majority of the route is on tarmac roads and pathways. However, there is a reasonably steep short hill section on Cow Lane next to the allotments and a gentle incline around Royal Victoria Park so wheelchair users may require assistance.
Disabled/ accessibility parking available in Charlotte Street Car Park, Bath.
There is no allocated drop of point for the event but we suggest Weston Road side of Royal Victoria Park to avoid the event road closures.
If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at email@example.com
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
We will be giving away bottled water at the finish line. But due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and our plans to reduce single use plastics at our events we encourage participants to bring their own water or hydration fluids on the day.
