For 2021, we've needed to move the 5k event back to Singleton Park to accommodate the wave start times needed and avoid the road closure on Oystermouth Road. The 5k route takes you on a scenic route through the popular Singleton Park and has a mixed terrain on paths and grass.
The start line is near the bottom end of the park, along Oystermouth Road. Directions will be sigposted from the entrance. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your start time.
We do not provide parking at this event. Please park in the Recreation Ground Car Park and the surrounding area.
The event site is on grass. The course route is a mixture of hardstanding utilising the paths within the park and has some uneven grass sections with an incline. There is also a steep incline on one section of the course which would make it difficult for wheelchair users.
If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
We will be giving away bottled water at the finish line. But due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and our plans to reduce single use plastics at our events we encourage participants to bring their own water or hydration fluids on the day.
