A real community event, participants will get a warm welcome from spectators as they finish the route near the event site.
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
The event site and start line is near to the ‘Lions Den’ to the north of the park. The finish line will also be within the similar vacinity.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
Alexandra Park is located to the south east of Oldham town centre and easily accessible from both M60 J22 and M62 J20.
It is surrounded by Park Road/Queens Road, Kings Road and Alexandra Road where parking is available. Parking is limited on these roads and available on a first come first serve basis.
The closest train station is Oldham (1.1 miles) or Oldham Mumps Metrolink Station (0.8miles).
You can also easily access the park on bus routes:
- From Oldham Bus Station, stopping on Park Road 149
- From Oldham Mumps, stopping on Abbey Hills Road
We would advise that this event is accessible for wheelchair users with assistance.
The majority of the route is on hardstanding paths but there is a section on grass that can get quite boggy in wet weather. A shorter route would be available if grounds are unsuitable.
Disabled parking is available at Alexandra Park Car Park.
