The Epping 5k route is a single lap course, mostly on tarmac around the perimeter of the airfield with a slight incline as you run back towards the main event site. There is no water station on the course so please bring your own drink.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as and when needed.
The start line is by the grass area adjacent to the main airfield car park.
Access to North Weald Airfield is via Merlin Way. Please use the large gate at the bottom of Merlin A - Gate A, to access the airfield.
There is plenty of car parking space at the airfield.
This event is suitable for wheelchairs as the 5k route is entirely on tarmac around the perimeter of the airfield, with a slight incline on the final stretch into the finish. Please note that the event site will be on grass, as will the final stretch to the finish line. The paths used for the route can be uneven, so assistance may be required.
