This course is mainly on bumpy grass terain with some paved pathways too. It includes a couple of challening inclines that we advise are wheelchair accessible only with assistance.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as and when needed.
The start line is on the south side of the park, behind the boating lake reception.
Due to a road closure being implemented just before 10:30, you will not be able to access either of the Stanborough Park Car Parks after this time. Please park in the Gosling Sports Park (AL8 6XE) and walk down Stanborough Road (aprox 10 minute walk). Please note that you will need to access the leisure centre from the Parkway Roundabout side, as the closure will be implemented from the B653 Stanborough Road Roundabout. Alternatively, follow diversions on the day and leave plenty of time to travel. Local parking fees apply.
Due to the mixed terrain and a number of inclines this event is only suitable for wheelchair users if they have assistance.
If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. Please refer to the section ‘ how we are keeping you safe’ https://raceforlife.cancerresearchuk.org/your-safety for further updates.
