The Wirral 5K course takes a scenic route through Birkenhead Park. Featuring predominantly flat footpaths, it gives some stunning views of the picturesque park.
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
The meeting point is on the Night Pasture, just off Park Drive. Following Park Drive from the main entrance off Ashville Road, continue past the Visitor Centre. After a 5 minute walk, the Night Pasture is on your right. The finish line will also be within the similar vacinity.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
There is no official Race for Life parking at the venue so please use the surrounding area and on-street parking. Please do park carefully and be considerate of the residents.
The nearest station is Birkenhead Park train station, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the venue.
We would advise that this event is accessible for wheelchair users with assistance.
The majority of the route is on hardstanding paths but the event site is on grass and can get quite boggy in wet weather, so please be aware.
