The Cleethorpes 3K course is a single lap 3K route mostly on path, but does involve some grass. The route starts and finishes at Meridian Showground, participants exit the showground and proceed down Meridian Road towards Meridian Car Park where they then loop back along the seafront path towards the boating lake and back. This section of the route is also used for our longer distance 5K and 10K events taking place on the same day.
Due to some of the course/start/finish being on grass, it may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions.
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
The meeting point and start line are within Meridian Showground . The finish line will also be within the same venue in a similar vicinity.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
Meridian Showground is on Kings Road, Cleethorpes, DN35 0AR.
There is no designated event parking available at the venue, but Pay and Display car parks can be found along Kings Road, about a 5-10 minute walk. Please note that Lakeside Car Park will have a slightly reduced number of spaces available on the event day. Meridian Car Park will be closed before and for the duration of the event. Please allow sufficient time to find parking and to walk to the venue.
Limited disabled parking is available at Lakeside Car Park. The route to and from the venue is suitable for wheelchair users.
If you are travelling by public transport the nearest bus stop is Meridian Road which is a 3 min walk away.
We would recommend that this event is wheelchair accessible with assistance. Some parts of the route involve going onto grass, a short cut is available if required.
