The Ipswich route takes in the whole showground and is fairly flat with the course on a mixture of grass and paths. The 3k course follows the first 1.5km of the 5k route before looping off round towards the finish. It is a largely accessible route (there are long sections on grass), with many spectator viewpoints. There will be no water available on the 3k route, other than at the finish, so please bring your own bottle if you feel you will need it.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as and when needed.
The meeting point and start line is just to the left of the car park.
Please follow signs to Trinity Park and enter by the main entrance off the roundabout. Follow signage and stewards directions and you will be parked ready for the event.
This course is a mixture of paved pathways and grassy terrain. We advise that this is wheelchair accessible with assistance due to some long sections of grass throughout the route.
If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. Please refer to the section ‘ how we are keeping you safe’ https://raceforlife.cancerresearchuk.org/your-safety for further updates.
