Because when people come together with purpose, incredible things happen - from losing weight to raising life-saving funds for research that brings us closer to beating cancer.

Amazing achievements so far

• Since 2013, Slimming World has raised £30 million for Cancer Research UK.

• Thousands of Slimming World members have completed a Race for Life event, raising £2.6m since 2023.

• Every year, a team of Slimming World members and staff take on the London Marathon - with £112k raised so far.

• Slimming World also supports Cancer Research UK through the Big Clothes Throw campaign, which encourages members to donate bags of clothes they've slimmed out of to Cancer Research UK charity shops.

When Slimming World announced the Race for Life sponsorship in 2023, members responded with enthusiasm, pride and unstoppable energy. Thousands have completed a 3K, 5K or 10K event, or a Pretty Muddy obstacle course event - with many taking their first steps into activity to help raise millions for Cancer Research UK.
