Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 5k is a great first challenge, no matter your age or fitness level. Go solo and join hundreds of people on the day, or sign up as a group with friends and family. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere! However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are on grass. The Stamford cross-country, undulating course on grass and paths and is moderately challenging, taking you around the beautiful grounds of Burghley Estate.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start and finish line is a short walk down the path from the car park.

By car:
General Event Parking: Please follow traffic management signage to Burghley House. The Sat Nav Postcode is PE9 3JU for Burghley House Visitors Entrance. You’ll turn right just past the Bull & Swan Pub and continue for 1 mile along Barnack Road (B1443). You will see the Visitors’ Entrance on the right. Event Stewards will direct you to the free event car park which is available within Burghley House.
By Train: Our nearest station is Stamford, approximately half a mile from the entrance to the Parkland and 1.5 miles to Burghley House. Stamford is a cross country link from the mainline from London to Edinburgh via Peterborough. For more information please visit National Rail.
By Bus: A local bus service operated by Delaine stops opposite the Main Visitor Entrance on Barnack Road. From here it is approximately 600m to The House entrance. For more timetables and further information visit Delaine Buses

Event Site: The start and finish areas are both on the same grass field.
Course: Due to the nature of the event it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
