Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 3k is ideal for families or groups doing their first Race for Life. It's a fun, achievable and an unforgettable day out! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere. However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish is on grass. The course is on primarily road closures and pathways through the city centre and the Historic Docks.

The start and finish is in Gloucester Park opposite the Band Stand.

By car:
General Event Parking: There is no parking for participants in Gloucester Park. We advise you to use Gloucester Quays as a car park for this event as there are road closures which restrict the access of car parks within the city centre.
Please be aware there will be road closures in place from 8am so make sure you leave time to access the area.
Drop Offs: The closest entrance to the event site for pedestrians on foot is the entrance from Spa Road and Albion Street. Please take into account road closures when arranging drop offs and collections.
Blue Badge Parking: Please be aware that there is no blue badge parking at Gloucester Park. There are blue badge spaces in Gloucester Quays car park (Southgate Street) which is approximately 600m from the start/finish.
Volunteer Parking: There is no parking for volunteers in Gloucester Park. We advise you to use Gloucester Quays as a car park for this event as there are road closures which restrict the access of car parks within the city centre.

Electric Charging points: There are none available at this event.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: The closest entrance to the event site for pedestrians on foot is the entrance from Spa Road and Albion Street.
Bus: The nearest bus stop is 'The Park' which is just outside one of the entrances to the park.
Train: The nearest train station is in the city centre and is a 10 minute walk from Gloucester Park.
Cycling & Bike Racks: There are none available at this event.

This event is suitable for wheelchair users but with assistance, due to the grass in the start/finish area. It's worth noting that the grass may become boggy in poor weather conditions. If this were to be case, users would be able to miss the start and finish areas and still be able to access the rest of the course. Please be aware that there is no blue badge parking at Gloucester Park. There are blue badge spaces in Gloucester Quays car park (Southgate Street) which is approximately 600m from the start/finish.

Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
